AT LONG LAST!

Drawing

I’m sure it is a feeling many business people can relate to in today’s economic climate. For many years it seemed like we would never catch up. The big projects were endless or soit seemed. We accomplished the most amazing things in those years. Then, with the endless bad news blaring from every media outlet we saw and felt a sudden and prolonged downturn. We kept busy in our shop but the long waiting list dwindled, then disappeared completely. My phone still rang steadily and I found myself suddenly dealing with lots of folks who wanted to do exciting projects. But wanting to do them and pushing the GREEN GO BUTTON are two entirely different things. I found many clients more reluctant to make decisions or they simply second guessed everything we designed. It was largely a case of hurry up and wait. It was a strange time. I can’t remember working so hard to make so little. Much of what we designed never made it past the design stage.

But slowly the news we hear has been getting a little better. In the last months the pace in the business world has certainly quickened. Projects long on hold have come alive once more. New projects have surfaced too. A feeling of optimism is returning to the marketplace and with it new projects are being started far and wide. That of course means folks need creative signs and displays.

My design table is now full once more. Deposit checks, needed to actually begin construction, are coming in at a ever quickening pace. My customers are now facing a small waiting list once more. It’s a very good feeling. I’m SO ready for the good times once more!

We now have four killer projects now on the go in the shop.  The concept art for one of these projects is shown above. It’s a fun one, but it is also the smallest of the four...

Stay tuned...
