Because we live in Canada most of our US friends believe we live in the land of ice and snow - especially in the winter. The reality is that our local winters are relatively mild. Our lawn stays green year round. The mountains that surround us definitely get plenty of snow. I snapped this picture of the local mountains yesterday and the snow line is obvious at about 3,000 feet. We live at 60 feet above sea level. During particular cold snaps we sometimes get snow and I generally plow our driveway two or three times each winter at most, which suits me perfectly. We get to enjoy the beauty of snow without the shovelling most days. Happy winter!
