As beautiful as it is when it snows, my favourite part is when local temperatures return to normal and the snow begins to melt in earnest. I did plow the driveway three times this year (so far) which makes it a cold winter by our standards. For the next week, thankfully, the weatherman is forecasting temperatures well above freezing and rain as well, which makes me very happy. The snow should be pretty much gone in a few days. I can tuck away the warm coat, toque, gloves, and snow boots. Just to make absolutely sure we thaw out properly Janis & I are headed south to Florida at the end of next week for a research trip.
