Gauging progress

We are still in mostly holiday mode in our shop. We are doing a little work but mostly we are working on personal projects. I’ve been working on the hot rod - between various things that were more pressing. The firewall and dashboard are the latest additions to the car body. I’ll be keeping things as simple as possible - to keep in sync with the 1910 era of the little speedster. There’s a small speedometer, a volt meter and a temperature gauge. An oil pressure gauge will be added to the top centre (empty hole). Underneath is an ignition key and a couple of toggle switches for the headlights. A button for the ahooga horn is yet to be added although the main horn will be a squeeze bulb style mounted to the side of the cowl on the driver’s side. The seat belts are now on order and as soon as they are installed it will be time to button up the back deck and add the gas tank behind the seat. When that is done it will signal the end of the body work and clear the way for the start of the new frame. It won’t be too long until this thing rolls on its own wheels. Stay tuned…
