Janis & I first visited a Disney Park together almost 45 years ago. That was about a year after we were married. Back then I loved what we saw and I was determined that someday I would do something along this line as a living. Back then I didn’t have the skills, tools or clients to create this kind of magical place. That would take another decade to even seriously begin. Amazingly, not too long after we began creating magical places as a full time occupation I was offered a job at Disney Imagineering. I didn’t go down that path for I loved working with all the members of our family and crew back at home in our backyard shop. We made similar magic - albeit on a much smaller scale Each year, as we are able, we do our best to visit a Disney Park somewhere in the world. Those have been some wonderfully fun adventures! This year it’s back to Disneyworld in Florida. Janis and I will spend plenty of leisurely time in all four parks, visiting our favourite old attractions and discovering new ones too. I’ll take tons of pictures and do my best to figure out exactly how these incredibly creative folks made all I see. It’s a chance to escape the cooler weather back home while recharging our creative batteries. We’re a whole lot older than we were during our first visit so many years ago but no less childlike at heart. We call it research.
