The hard way to build a fence.

Matt got to work on the last two sections of the walkway railings for the Hazelnut Inn. Like everything at the Inn it is custom fabricated and not at all ordinary. The fence rail undulates and curves to match the ‘brick’ wall below it. A different curve is formed into the top rail to match the sloping and curved walkway. Each rail is bent, fit, adjusted (numerous times until it is perfect), cut to length and then welded into place. Each steel picket is carefully measured, cut to length and then welded into place. While it certainly isn’t the fastest way to build a fence the result is spectacular.
