This afternoon it was cool and cloudy but just dry enough to cut the lawn which needed trimming. I know from experience to do it whenever I get the chance this time of year as it rains frequently in these parts. As I mowed the grass I heard a racket overhead, even over the noise of the mower. It was a large gaggle of Canada geese heading south. Seeing them reminded me that cooler weather was soon coming. I took my time riding around our small acreage on the yard tractor, a task I enjoy. There won’t be very many more mowings until it warms up next year.
