The legs and feet of the dragon take the longest as they are welded bead after bead over bent pencil rod. Each foot and leg took a couple of hours of hot work to fashion. Today, I polished off the last of the four legs and did two batches of scales before quitting time snuck up on me. The dragon is looking pretty fine. Next week I’ll finish the scaled creature and then weld on the edges and back of the door, wedging in the planked middle section as I go. It’s going to be heavy lifting to swing it into place and I can hardly wait to see it between the two castle towers!
