It has been decades since Janis and I camped in a car, sleeping in the back, getting by with minimal luxuries. Almost forty years to be exact. But after all this time it is the season for a back to basics road trip once more. Our client in Manitoba needs me to help do the layout of the mini golf and to supervise the pouring of the greens and sidewalks. To do it anything less than perfect would be extremely costly to fix. A plane ride was out of the question for us at this time for we couldn’t guarantee our surroundings. After much discussion and considering all of the options Janis and I decided to drive. Secure and sanitized accommodation is arranged at the other end of our journey. We will pack our food for the trip and camp in the hatchback car. We’ve got more than enough rubber gloves, face masks and sanitizer. Janis made sure of that and a whole lot more. A porta-potty will be our necessarium. The car is stuffed with plenty of clothing, work attire and equipment along with all of our travel necessities. And of course I will supervise and consult while keeping the proper distance. Janis & I are looking forward to a great adventure!
