They say the best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. I’m sure glad we planted a bunch back when we bought our property. We enjoy them now more than ever! Over the last couple of weeks in my spare time, I’ve been neatening up the yard, edging around the many trees and and adding a fresh layer of bark mulch to tidy things up. The trees grow larger each year and as they branch out, so too does the area underneath. As I worked on the yard I was reminded of how the trees were small enough to be moved with a little excavator when we relocated them shortly after we bought the property back in the summer of 2003. This evening I dug through some archived photos to find this picture. This tree is now more than twenty feet across and just as tall. Time flies when you are having fun!
