I came across this old picture in my studio the other day. It was taken in the late 1980’s. Peter would have been twelve or thirteen and Becke about eleven years old. I would have been in my early thirties. The picture was taken in my new upstairs studio of the time . On the wall is artwork of various projects of the period. Remembering back, I recall it being a busy time, with many exciting projects under way, each taking us a little closer to our dreams and goals. During this period I began painting a lot of historical murals across Canada and the United States. Looking at the picture, it reminded me of how focused I was on achieving my goals, even then. Things didn’t aways go according to plan, like always, and there were many setbacks along the way but we, as a family worked together to make our dreams come to pass. Now, more than thirty years later, we are still working together as a family to make our dreams come true.
