Laying down the pavers in the driveway will be one of the last things we do at the Hazelnut Inn. The driveway and parking areas had little done to them other than knocking the gravel sort of flat after we built the structure. Weeds were beginning to sprout and the rough ground was hard to maintain. The solution was to use out transit to shoot the grades and then do a little tractor work to smooth things out, closer to the final grades we would need. The driveway is about a hundred and twenty five feet long plus the parking lot behind the building. It took a few hours with our little tractor with the front end loader but it sure looks a whole lot better than before. We can now drive it without worry of being thrown out of the seat. We’ll make a few more passes yet and run the plate packer a few times over it to smooth things over. That will do perfectly fine until we lay down the pavers.
