We strapped a jerry can to the driver’s side running board, the battery to the opposite side. Jury rigged wiring was held to the fenders with duct tape but the car was running. We bled and tested the brakes, filled the transmission with fluid and then checked everything over twice. One radiator hose was leaking a little, the exhaust manifolds need some new gaskets, and there are a whole bunch of adjustments and tweaks yet before it is done. But the little hot rod is running at last. With the checks done it was time for a test run at last, up and down our long driveway. My neighbor Gord did the first test run, gingerly to make sure everything was working as it should. He had a big grin on his face as he drive up and down the driveway. Then it was my turn. It was worth the 32 year wait. :)
