Matt and I had fun beginning the sculpting of the door frame for the Under Hill suite garden. As the legend is told, the Under Hill home has been held in the Burrow’s family for untold generations. As we illustrate this story visually, the timbers around the garden door need to speak of that rich history. This meant the hand hewn timbers needed to be deeply weathered and perhaps even twisted with age. A suitable lantern will hang from the upper branch of the tree to the right. By week’s end the wall around the door should be fully sculpted and the boards installed in the centre of the door. Stay tuned for more…
