The grandkid’s playhouse is getting more colourful of late. This project is a fill in, meaning we work on it in spare moments only. That has slowed down the progress considerably. When it came time to choose the colour for the playhouse, grandma decided what she would like to see from the kitchen window. Purple is her favourite. The dark purple band around the middle has yet to get its trim. Phoebe chose those colours and it will be bright! The upper portions of the house are now finished and the scaffold is gone at last, allowing me to properly mow the grass once more. Over the next couple of weeks Becke will do the glazes on the lower sections of the tree. The hollowed section in the tree was designed as a sandbox for the younger kids but they now have a larger sandbox elsewhere so Phoebe has claimed that area as her garden. She also gets private occupancy of inside the house. Henry and Juniper play on the ladder and slide and they get lots of use. A swing will soon hang from the sturdy eyebolt under the branch.
