Second loneliest sign

The first sign we made earlier this year was transported to the NorthWest Territories and installed right on the Arctic Circle. It had to travel by ice road (over frozen lakes and rivers) because there are no permanent, all season roads in that region. The first sign was the large Dene Drum and is now situated about twenty miles north of the small community of Fort Good Hope. We just received a picture of our second sign, now installed at the beginning of the Tlicho Highway. This gravel, all season road is brand new, and warmly welcomed after many decades of being only a promise and hope. It will serve a few small northern communities and provide access to that region year round. The new highway branches off the road that goes to Yellowknife just before it rounds the top end of Great Slave Lake. We are proud to have played a small part in the connection of the region.
