Magical journey

We’ve done projects far and wide through the years. The furthest project was for a theme park in Dubai. We built two viking ships that measured just over forty feet long by ten feet wide along with many other assorted bits and pieces. The challenge was to build these ships in such a way they would easily break down and fit into shipping containers and then bolt back together without visible seams. The ship pieces filled eleven containers in all. Once the ships arrived in Dubai they were transported to the site, unloaded and then rolled into the building using manpower alone. Then the work began in earnest. The crews there had built a massive, engineered scaffold over the pool and the heavy pieces were gently lifted into place, far below the upper walkways. I was privileged to travel to Dubai to touch up the few, minor scrapes and bumps incurred along the perilous journey. Those touchups only took a few hours and I had leftover days to see the sites of that far away kingdom before returning back home to build the next project.
