I absolutely love flying and have wished for a private pilot’s license since I can remember. The reality however is that I have been diagnosed with a total lack of depth perception. Everyone who knows me understands that, for me, walking without tripping on anything but perfectly level ground is a definite challenge. Flying a plane definitely wouldn’t be a good idea. But I still love flying. I clearly remember the first time I witnessed a crop duster in action when I was driving through the midwest many years ago. I stopped my car along side the country road and watched in awe as the pilot skillfully maneuvered his plane so close to the ground, turning at each end of the field to make another pass. I’ve designed a number of signs incorporating a crop duster through the years and even built a sample sign that has hung in the studio for more than a decade. Now, at last, it may be the time we get to design and build a large feature incorporating such a plane. Our customer has a ‘crop duster’ kiddy ride and needs a landmark sign for the attraction. I’ve done up three designs for presentation… which is your favourite?
