While one sign is being magically whittled on the MultiCam CNC router I’m busy in the studio gluing up the pieces and doing the finishing of the one just off the machine. The Grampa’s Kettle Corn sign is coming along nicely. The woodgrain turned out really nice on this one. It is hard to believe this is Precision Board HDU and not real wood. I used a bitmap from our Texture Magic Woodgrain Collection. The woodgrain was extended around the edges of the sign by hand. I made sure the edge grains line up with both the front and back so the sign looks fabulous from any angle. Now it is on to welding up the character armature and then sculpting grandpa Ernie.
