Work continues at a good pace inside the North Starr suite of the Hazelnut Inn. Space is definitely at a premium as they cram in scaffolding, tools and materials, with a little room left to maneuver as needed. Currently the upper beams of the hallway/staircase area are being sculpted. They’ll move to the wainscotting next week and then fill in the plaster walls between. It is looking pretty spectacular! As you look at the painted areas you have to ignore the bright colours as for the first coat we use up any leftover paint from other projects, then move one to the proper colours in the second and third coat prior to the glazing process.
