Most projects go through what we call a ‘blue sky design’ phase when we first begin. At this point we are brainstorming ideas to discover the possible scope of a project and to see what the client likes. Our customers are, without exception, always surprised by what we present at the first meeting. This is but one of many concepts worked up in the last few days for a farm based attraction. It is fun to simply dream up wild ideas and then do a series of drawings. Chances are, we are wildly overshooting our client’s expectations at this point but there is also a very good chance our ideas may be accepted. If we don’t push hard at this blue sky design phase we would only get to build ‘ordinary’ projects which wouldn’t be nearly as much fun. We’ll soon present this initial package to the client. Then we’ll quickly know if we got it right on our first attempt. That’s the fun of blue sky.
