One of my favourite restaurants is at the Fox and Hounds Pub. It features a cozy fireplace and a beautiful copper ceiling which we built in a curve. The unique fireplace is nestled between two giant trees. When I designed the mantle I added the words ‘Who let the dogs out?’ as a joke in reference to the name of the pub. The owners loved the idea. A (hand sculpted) giant boar’s head trophy hangs over the mantle. On the sideboard is the flint lock blunderbuss which did the deed. Custom, dimensional beer signs are one the walls. Tiffany lamps and antique furniture add charm. Heavy tudor timers and beams tie it all together. The colours are warm and comforting. And as much as I love the decor the food is even better. My personal favourite item ono the menu is the ‘bangers and mash’!
