COVID 19 has affected every one of us over the last fourteen months in so many ways. We know a number of people who were very ill. All of our client’s businesses were impacted a great deal for we service the entertainment industry for the most part. We’ve all had a forced separation from many beloved family members and friends. The financial uncertainty made each of us tighten our belts. Adhering to COVID rules has meant we have spent a great deal more time at home. Our family felt it much less than most because our two grown kids and their families lived and worked on our small acreage. We shut our gates and hunkered down for the duration. Going to town was a rare occurrence as one person shopped for everyone and only when needed. In Canada, the vaccine rollout has been a little slower than some other countries but the pace is rapidly speeding up over the last weeks. In BC, with good reason, we are still under many restrictive guidelines but most I speak with have received a first shot of vaccine and the second is only weeks away. Thankfully, the infection rates are falling at long last and the promise of brighter days is starting to feel very real. With that promise in mind, and fabulous weather ahead it was time to licence the Jeep once more. It’s been parked for the last year and I have missed driving it! We cleaned it up this week and painted the bumpers and sliders with a fresh coat of black. As soon as the registration stickers were applied to the licence plate I took off the top, put on the half doors and went for a long slow cruise up to the far end of Cultus Lake. It was a true breath of fresh air and I enjoyed it immensely! It was my silly way of celebrating.
