A pachyderm of monumental proportions

The Hazelnut Inn is quickly becoming a building quite unlike any other. There’s lots to catch the eye and no possible way to take it all in during one visit. We’ve also worked hard to ensure every piece has a reason to be there. Each feature is part of the story we are painstakingly crafting. The North Star suite harbours a collection of ‘artifacts’ gathered from around the world, from diverse regions both real and imagined. The largest artifact is a giant pachyderm made from large cut stones which form the high retaining wall around the private garden. Most visitors walk by the elephant without taking notice but once seen it is impossible to un-see. This is but one of many great visual treasures to be found in this magical place.
