I painted up the wheels yesterday and figured I would mount the tires myself to save a trip into town. Installing the tire valve stems wasn’t overly difficult. Then I mounted the first tire with a just a little more struggle. Two large screw drivers do the job but are definitely are not the right tools for the task! Getting the stiff little tire to seat on the rim enough to add air proved to be an impossible struggle. I used every trick I knew including cinching a strap around the tread. After ten minutes of effort I decided a trip into town tomorrow to let the professionals handle it would be a much better deal. I can hardly wait to see them mounted on the truck. Stay tuned…
