I formed and welded the last of the pencil rod on the lower section of the robot today. It looks massive, even standing next to the bulkier body section which is being worked on adjacent to this piece in the shop. That’s it for the welding on this project unless we get the green light for the staircase for the guests to climb up to the body viewpoint. The owners are still deciding whether to have the staircase built in our shop or do it on location in South Dakota. Until we receive final word about the staircase we’ll be going full speed ahead on Sprocket. With the welding of the structure and armature now complete, progress will go quicker from this point.
