Most plasterers take great pride in making their work perfectly smooth, square and level. Most painters do their best to make things even and monolithic. We take an opposite approach. We purposely leave tool digits, tool marks, chips and scores in the plasterwork. While we apply more coats of paint than most to make sure our paint jobs last, we work from multiple coloured buckets of paint at once, purposely leaving behind brushstrokes. When we glaze we purposely allow it to settle in the grooves and rough areas and often streak it to age and weather our creations. While we use similar materials and tools as most craftsmen, and take equal pride in our work, our techniques are geared to telling a story rather than making things perfect. It is a fun way to work!
