Paint changes our creations dramatically. The welded structures are generally pretty impressive. If you use your imagination you can visualize how things will look when you see the shapes of the armature and galvanized lath. Once sculpted the pieces look pretty good as the light plays across the textures. Then comes the base colours which are very dramatic. The magic really begins to happen when the glazes are layered on so carefully. Gradually, the subtleties of the grains and textures are brought to life. The pig is a great example. And it will change once again as the lettering is painted and blended and then as a final effect a little dry brush will add the highlights. It is pure magic every time!
