The world is rapidly changing around us and we need to change with it. In the shop we do our best to embrace current technology and methods as much as possible. Through the years we’ve adapted modern tools, materials and methods to our projects while still keeping the hand craftsmanship alive where it counts. We reuse and recycle as much as we can. The same goes with the upkeep of our small acreage. Over the last while, as old equipment wears out, we have replaced it with much greener options. Even though we got great mileage out of our old tools and they served us well for many years, it wasn’t a tough decision to go electric as we upgraded. In our area the electric grid is hydro powered, very green and relatively inexpensive. The savings on fuel will be considerable without a doubt. Just as important is the super quiet quiet operation of the new electric tools compared to the old. I certainly won’t miss the endless tugging on the starter cords to get the gas powered tools started.
