I often get asked if I ever stop working. The answer is yes…. sort of. I do my best to keep working to an absolute minimum on weekends and evenings but that does not mean nothing can get accomplished in the shop. One of the beauties of modern CNC machinery is that it can work without supervision. A very large, fully textured file running on the CNC MultiCam can take quite a number of hours to be routed. I create the files during the normal hours of our workweek. Late Saturday I set the machine in motion. I checked that everything was running smoothly just before I went to bed which was late as Janis & I watched a movie. This morning when I went out to the shop the panel was done. It took a few minuted to put on another sheet of Precision Board and then I started the smaller, back panel and this afternoon before supper, it too was done. The machine worked perfectly and turned out two flawless panels while I did other things, not related to work.
