If you were to lay on your back on the inlaid tile compass rose in the sitting area of the North Star Suite and look up into the dome high above you would see an ancient map of the universe. It features an earth-centric vision of when the ancients thought everything revolved around us. The names of the planets are written in Latin of course. The work lights don’t highlight it the way the hidden indirect lights will but it already looks pretty cool. With this portion of the ceiling now complete, the painting crew will soon erect a shorter scaffold and continue to work their way down to the floor. Stay tuned…
