Signs come in so may different forms - especially in our shop. One of our most recent clients was restricted with the type and size of sign he could put on the outside of his hew building. It was in an industrial complex. But he understood the value of our type of sign which brought plenty of attention to his product and services he offered. He asked us to go wild in the reception area, the boardroom although the offices and elsewhere inside the building. The business sells CNC (computer controlled) routers, plasma cutters, lasers and water-jet machines. He asked us to show just what these wonderful machines were capable of. It was like letting me loose in a candy store!
We tackled the design of the big pieces first which would allow these main elements to drive the theme for each room. Since the customer sells computer driven robots, the receptionist’s desk needed to start things off with a bang... and a double armed six-axis robot was just the ticket. They will function as lights for the desk. Another smaller end table model will round things off in the lobby.
Upstairs the bosses office needed something spectacular. Plasma cutters cut through very heavy steel plate like butter. The massive 3D dinosaur desk will show off the capabilities of the machine in a powerful and dramatic fashion. Dimensional routed ‘rock’ fossils will complete the decor within the theme.
We are still working on other areas of the showplace, trying our best to top efforts already in place. The end result will be a showcase of both machines and the work they are capable of. Signs need to communicate the intended message clearly to be effective. But sometimes words just aren’t necessary.
