As is often the case as we near the install or shipment of a large project our shop is full to the brim with pieces in all stages of completion. It’s getting harder and harder to make my way from one end to the other. Dust builds up behind the stacked pieces and tools seem to find it easier to hide these days. Even the parking lot is full of completed pieces as well. At the job site other pieces are stashed where they won’t be disturbed. More bits languish at various suppliers in readiness. Working space is at a premium in our shop.
We are now only days from the beginning of the installation. The project has lived in my imagination and in drawings for better than a year. Various bits have been in construction for months. Now at last it is almost time to start assembling the many pieces, to bring the vision to life on the client’s site. I can hardly wait...
