I used to figure that for every four concepts we designed we would actually build only one. In the business world we operate in those are pretty good odds. During the last couple of years, with all of the uncertainty, those numbers have changed for the worse but the world seems to be righting itself a little at long last. I was going through some of the stalled projects recently and thought it might be fun to feature a few of them on the journal. Most are pretty fun ideas that would have been great to build. This concept, done in 2019, was for a project down in the southern US. The space themed park had a kid’s mineral panning sluice box which they wanted to re-theme to include a Mars mission. We did some research and came up with the Mars Rover and landing capsule. While they loved the idea, sadly, the mission was aborted before it got off the launching pad.
