As we carefully sculpted the concrete on the front facade of the Copper Crown castle we took into account the story of the locale. '“According to local legend, the Copper Crown is the ancestral home of an ancient line of aristocrats who, in addition to being peers of the realm, were renowned orchardists, librarians, and even (according to one telling) dragon riders.” This meant the plasterwork needed to show its age. And so chips and cracks were purposefully sculpted into the fresh concrete. As we paint we will add patinas, and ‘dirt’ to enhance this story for maximum effect. Stay tuned…
