The armature for the top portion of the entrance of the Jade City Golf is nearing completion. That meant it was time to install the sign (which will be very rusty when we are done) and its supports. Being a tropical theme, the obvious choice was bamboo poles. Only we needed something much stronger like steel pipe. It was a simple matter to apply a layer of sculpting epoxy over these steel pipes to look like bamboo. Once everything is painted to look like the real thing we’ll wrap what appears to be an old hemp rope around the cross points to make sense of the jungle construct. Stay tuned for the result…
