The bracket that will hold up the sign for the Castle Golf we are fabricating for NEB’s Fun World is a doozy! It was a whole lot of fun to fabricate! The the twenty-four pieces of the dragon were plasma cut from 1/4” thick steel plate. Fifty-two rivets which appear to hold it together were actually blind welded from the rear of each piece prior to assembly. The pieces are actually plug welded to keep everything secure. We gave it a quick spray with some mild acid and dragged it outside so we could get a head start on the rust patina. Once the castle framework is welded up we’ll weld this into place. The ‘ancient weathered wood’ sign that will soon hang under this monstrous bracket is next on my list. Stay tuned…
